Corrosion resistance of duplex stainless steel and super duplex steel is similar to that of austenitic stainless steel. When the duplex steel is subjected to a high temperature above 300 ℃ for a long time, its internal structure will change and its toughness will decrease.
However, the decrease of toughness does not necessarily affect the properties of the material at the working temperature.In the temperature range of – 50 ℃ – 280 ℃, the duplex stainless steel has good mechanical properties.
In the industry, it is well known that the corrosion resistance grade is expressed according to the corrosion resistance equivalent value PREN.
